Dear James,

 You’ve no idea how long I’ve wanted to say this: I love you. I have for years. We grew up together, we’re best friends. I love you.

 Do you no how hard it is for me? To sit here writing this, knowing I can never send it.

Every year I start with the same letter. Every year, every term, every week, every bloody passing hour.

Every time I write to you I start with the same three words. I love you.

If you ever found out, you’d laugh at the amount of times I’ve started a letter with the exact same words.

When I don’t cry, I laugh.

 They always did say there is more pleasure building castles in the air. Castles built on paper. Founded on three little words.

 I love you James Potter, If only you even knew.

Teddy looked at the paper within his hands and laughed. Bitter, hollow, rebounding.

 With a savage smile he tore the paper in two, laughing as tears stained the ink.

Oh, poor Teddy. I like how you showed us the letter he wrote first and then the letter he ended up sending. It was a nice contrast. But poor guy, I just want to hug him. Wonderful fic Mop. :)
